Cobalt Oxide (CoO)
Cobalt Oxide is a strong colorant, and a lavender colour. It melts at low temperature and is stable in all kiln atmospheres to usually give a blue colour. High Cobalt surfaces may spit during firing, leaving a halo on the kiln shelf. Cobalt Oxide may spot unless sieved well.
Colours that can be obtained
